Sleep is for the Weak is written by Josie, a twenty-something, slightly neurotic, seriously sleep deprived stay-at-home mum from Staffordshire in the UK.
Her days are mostly filled with doing her very best not to be too bad a mother to her rather demanding and spirited young son while stealing all available free time to write, think, grow and try to stay sane. Trying to juggle a blossoming writing career with a toddler that manages to tick all the ‘better keep an eye on this one’ boxes on her Health Visitor’s check lists isn’t always easy. Her portrayal of motherhood is often raw and painfully honest, but she survives with the help of a great deal of chocolate, a good splash of humour and by refusing to take anything too seriously.
When not hiding under her duvet and being hopelessly self-deprecating, Josie takes a lot of photographs, writes poetry, and runs a popular weekly writing workshop for bloggers.
She’d love if it if you stopped by, or sent her some cake. Either one…
