The BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study shows that Apple is now worth $185bn, streets ahead of second and third ranked, Google and IBM.

Pinterest Adds Brand Information To Pins

Pinterest is trying to improve the experience users have so instead of brand’s pins linking back to the original source, they will now display information such as recipes, movie reviews and price information directly on to the news feed.

Yahoo and Twitter Team up

Yahoo announced yesterday that their new partnership with Twitter will see select tweets from Twitter appear directly into the Yahoo News stream.

Yahoo have clearly cottoned on to the fact that people get a lot of their news through Twitter and some people actually prefer it in 140 character snippets.

Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer – ”Yahoo will now seamlessly include relevant and personalized tweets alongside stories from Yahoo! and our other sources.”

A new study from Pingdom has found that 52% off the top rated blogs are using either wordpress.com or wordpress.org as their platform.

“For many of us, what we used to blog about we now publish to social networks. But there’s also no denying that blogging is not gone. It has, however, changed as has the tools used to publish blogs with. Some, like WordPress, started out as blogging platforms and has taken on more general content management functionality. One in ten social media users admitted that they told lies

Do you embellish the truth on your Facebook profile or you outright lie on Twitter? Well an a new survey published by Barclaycard 1 in 10 people do just that.

It’s said that men lie to maintain a cool online persona and women usually lie due to peer pressure.

Men are also more likely to lie on Twitter than Facebook, where as women were twice as likely to use photo apps to make their photos look more flattering.

Google Maps Is Getting An Update

Google Systems, the unofficial Google news blog, has reported that Google maps is getting an update.

The report stated that they will get rid of Maps’ current sidebar and location information will display in pop-ups that appear on top of a full-screen map.

Also you will be able to restrict local search results to places recommended by top reviews or your Google+ circles.

Will Youtube Lauch Paid Channels?
